Organic Fabrics Guide
Q: Organic cotton seems to be all people are talking about when it comes to organic fabrics, but I know there are others that are also natural and sustainable. Can you give me a brief primer on what else is available to my green-conscious clients?
A: It’s safe to say that going green is no longer just a trend in apparel. It’s become a movement taken up both by individuals and corporate America. Organic cotton (which was overviewed in the July “Cheat Sheet”) is certainly the leading fabric being requested in the wearables world, but it’s certainly not the only one available to distributors and their clients.
This month, we highlight a few of the many other organic fabrics that have been around for years and are just now gaining in popularity, as well as some completely new fabrics to the promotional apparel industry.
